Pick the size that matches your team
A phone system for eight people and one for eight hundred run the same software. What changes is the shape: how many calls at once, how the departments are organised, and where the system lives.
How a 3CX licence is sized
By the number of calls that can happen at the same time, not by the number of people. In most offices only a fraction of the staff are on the phone together, which is why a busy forty-person office can cost less than a system priced per seat.
Each size also covers a maximum number of users, shown in the table. Growth is cheaper than you might expect right up until it crosses one of those boundaries, and we will tell you where yours is before you buy.
Small teams usually run Basic. From about twenty people, departments and queues make it Pro. Large and multi-site organisations choose Pro or AI. Compare the editions.
| Calls at once | Users it covers |
|---|---|
| 4 | Up to 15 |
| 8 | Up to 40 |
| 16 | Up to 80 |
| 24 | Up to 120 |
| 32 | Up to 192 |
| 48 | Up to 288 |
| 64 | Up to 384 |
How many calls at once do you need?
-
Picture your busiest ten minutes
Monday morning, month end, the hour after an advert runs. Not an average day.
-
Count the calls happening together
People talking to someone outside, plus the callers you would rather hold in a queue than turn away.
-
Bring the number to the demo
Or your call records, and we will work it out together. We size it to fit, not up to the next tier.
Easier to start from what you do? Phone systems by industry.
